Detroit: Become Human is an action-adventure game played from a third-person view. There are multiple playable characters in the game who can die and the story would continue without them; as a result, there is no “game over” when a character dies. The story will branch out on the choices that the player makes. When dealing with delicate situations, collecting information would increase your chances of success. Obtaining clues at crime scenes allows the player to reconstruct and replay the events that occurred.
