It would seem that Shia LaBeouf’s time in the Indiana Jones universe was short-lived. David Koepp, the screenwriter of Indiana Jones 5, has confirmed LaBeouf’s character Mutt Williams is not in the script. Koepp put it succinctly to Entertainment Weekly, saying, “Harrison plays Indiana Jones, that I can certainly say. And the Shia LaBeouf character is not in the film.” Koepp said the movie could begin production soon, and that he hopes Steven Spielberg, who has directed every Indiana Jones film, will make it his next project.
